Commissioned

"Suite classique" was created in late 2023 for a private client in Australia.
It appealed to me to approach a classical style - with a touch of French Impressionism.
"Chanson lointaine" - a distant song - sounds out over the vast plains of the Australian steppe and embarks on a quasi-baroque journey, returning to the beginning after a floating variation.
"Caprice" lives up to its name: the most diverse musical excursions come together to form a kaleidoscopic whole.
"Romance" nostalgique' unfolds with romantic fervour and a dash of Brahms.
The "Humoresque" rounds off this little suite with changing tonalities, verve and humour.
This work places me in the great tradition of neo-classicism.
